Jake Michael won our April Story Slam with a story about the bravest thing he has ever done in his life, which he notes was when he was in 8th grade. The theme of the night was Teenage Kicks, and we heard a wide variety of stories, including stories about making out in a car, streaking, turfing lawns, throwing erasers at a teacher, outracing a train and cleaning up a sculpture in the park. A few of our stories of the night will not be available for internet viewing due to the nature of the subject. (This is why you always want to attend the slam!) Our next story slam is scheduled for Tuesday, June 12th. The theme of the night will be Paid Vacation! Think of the best vacations you've ever had. Maybe your vacation was a working vacation - paid for by your company. Or maybe things went terribly wrong and you were reimbursed for your vacation. There are any number of ways to take this theme of Paid Vacation and make it your own. We hope to see you in June!
